Get to know us

We are lifelong, proud, Kentuckians. Silly, self-deprecating and always looking to point out the quirkiness that defines the greatest state in the country.

Our mission

The Bluegrass News is dedicated to bringing some humor into your day by taking the quirks of everyday life in the Bluegrass state and amplifying them to hilarious proportions.

Our mission is to make you laugh, think, and occasionally question whether reality has become stranger than satire. We explore the ridiculous side of politics, technology, entertainment, sports, and most importantly, culture.

We believe that humor is one of the most powerful tools for taking a step back and destressing over some bizarre and silly humor. Satire allows us to critique the world around us while keeping things light-hearted and entertaining. The goal is not to take ourselves too seriously.

While we believe just about every aspect of life in KY can be exaggerated for humorous purposes, we do have some limits. We keep our humor clean so that all residents of KY can read our articles. We will not consider publishing any submitted articles that contain humor of an R rated nature.

Understanding Satire

Satire is a genre of literature and performing arts that uses humor, irony, exaggeration, and ridicule to expose and criticize human vices, follies, and shortcomings.

Our articles are works of fiction designed to entertain and provoke thought. While they may be inspired by real events or trends, they are entirely fabricated for comedic and satirical purposes.

Think of us as the court jesters of the digital age—we're here to make you laugh at the world's absurdities, including our own.

Important Disclaimer!

All articles published on The Bluegrass News are entirely fictional and satirical in nature.

Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental and intended for comedic purposes. We do not publish real news or factual reporting.

Remember: If it sounds too ridiculous to be true, it probably is—and that's exactly the point!
